In the UK, there were three voices the Brits heard most during the war...Churchill, King George VI, and Vera Lynn.

In 2009, at the age of 92, she became the oldest living artist to top the UK Albums Chart with the compilation album We'll Meet Again: The Very Best of Vera Lynn. So people were still buying her music over 60 years after the war ended.
